I am repeating this walk along the old section of the A93 just outside of Blairgowrie, but today I went further along the old road and admired the colossal rock face of Craighall Gorge. It was sheet ice at the parking area today, but did an impressive hand brake turn to park up (closet petrolhead). Not far into the walk I met a couple who go along here regularly to put food out for the red squirrels of which I saw two today and a deer and a huge variety of birdlife. Took a few random pictures of the Baillie Bridge then further along went into the wood to get a decent sighting of Craighall Castle and the gorge. Next time I shall have a scramble down for better views or more sensibly probably walk along the river banking.

Swans at Stormont Loch
Slithered along the tracks this morning to Hare Myre and Stormont Lochs for a bit of birding and was treated to the spectacular sight of near on a hundred swans on the icy waters of Stormont Loch. As is 'sod's law' as soon as my back was turned about thirty decided to take flight so missed the shot. Possibly would get better pictures around the other side of the loch in 'clear' areas. The side I was on has lots of tree branches close to the water's edge so tricky to find a way in without becoming a cropper in the loch.

Random Blairgowrie Photos
Such a nice day that I went on one of my meanders around the town taking photos of randomness. A close friend suggested my blog should be renamed 'The Landlady visits........' so today the landlady photographs anything that catches her eye. Enjoy and if you want to know where any of the places are in Blairgowrie , just ask.
