Bonnie Perthshire

Nearly the end of July and the weather has been rather glorious.  The Bed and Breakfast has been very busy so that has basically taken up most of my time and many an interesting guest crossing the door.  The sunny weather has not been good for any fishing guests I have had, but that's just the way it is.  I have not been out on many excursions, just getting fruit for jam and a couple of evenings have managed to get out for my favourite pastime of wandering the countryside. Had a very close encounter with a beaver at Loch of Lowes which I was thrilled about. So that's about it really as I'm sure you don't want to hear the mundane day to day stuff. Hopefully my next blog post will be more interesting, so much to do, so little time.   Keeping the black dog at heel.

Queen's Baton Relay 2014

Last Friday the 4th of July the Queen's Baton Relay for the Commonwealth Games came through Blairgowrie. The Commonwealth Games are being held in Glasgow this year. The relay came right past the house and ended up at the Golf Club. The biggest crowds were in the town centre and at the Golf Club. The torrential rain, forecast, was only a drizzle fortunately. Got a few pictures, nothing spectacular. The lady who ran in my section of the town does sporty things for youngsters and oldies alike, Tennis and Hockey in particular. I sometimes play Hockey when I can and she is one of the coaches. Got my wee flag to wave and a sticker of Clyde, the Commonwealth Games Mascot.
