Hope you had a great New Year, or like me you maybe you just went to your bed! Watched all the hardy souls running or walking past today on the annual New Year's Day fun run/walk, which is a very popular event. The route is about 3.7 miles and starts from the Town Hall and goes along the High Street, Perth Street and Perth Road, then turning along Golf Course Road then onto the Coupar Angus Road and finishing in the Wellmeadow.My guests had an enjoyable time in the town last night and today they went along to Pitlochry where they thoroughly enjoyed the New Year's Day Street Ceilidh which runs from 1 - 4 pm. So if you are in the area on New Year's day, you could go for a run and then hot foot it to Pitlochry (40 minutes away) and have a good old Scottish reel.
