MacRosty Park, Crieff

Yesterday I attended a familiarisation tour (organised by Perth & Kinross council as part of their rural development scheme) to West Perthshire with an 'interesting' selection of other people in the tourism industry.  We started off at the excellent Park and Ride at Perth and made our way to Crieff, where our first visit was to MacRosty Park.  The park had a huge amount of money spent on refurbishment and officially re-opened last year and is a super free outdoor attraction, a great place for children to play in a safe environment as well.  My mum took the children here last easter and they had a ball.

We were given a tour around the park by one of the Rangers and had a lovely cup of coffee and cake at the tea room which is run by a genuinely lovely couple who used to run a guesthouse in Birnam. I also had the opportunity to chat to a lovely couple who run Burnbank B&B in Kinross who are also Perthshire Breakfast and Cittaslow supporters.

Fed and watered we made our way back to the bus and to our next destination.
