Perthshire Amber Inspirations Photographic Walk at Murthly Castle

At the beginning of November I booked a place on a photographic walk organised as part of the Perthshire Amber Festival. The walk was held at Murthly castle, in emm, Murthly, so really close to home.  Stuart Blance was the man responsible for taking us around with hints, tips and photographic advice. Unfortunately it was a bit of a murky morning, with slight drizzle, but the sun did attempt to show itself.
The driveway up to the Castle is amazing, seems to go on forever and the best bit was seeing so many red squirrels. Everyone attending parked up at the front of the castle. There was a real mix of people from England, Holland, Switzerland, Germany and they were all very pleasant. The laird gave us a brief history and we headed into the front formal gardens. We then went up by the castle and into the woodland and down to the river. The walk finished in the stunning chapel. Thoroughly enjoyed the walk and to be able to ask questions to an experienced photographer.
