Black Watch Museum at Balhousie Castle

I'm probably a bit guilty of continually promoting the outdoors on my blog so today for a change I took the children to visit The Black Watch Museum at Balhousie Castle in Perth.  I have many guests who have been and they have all enjoyed their visit.

There are room after room of 'memorabilia' going through the entire history of The Black Watch and all the wars, it is extremely interesting and gives you a real insight into the past and up to the current day.  I would highly recommend a visit if you are in Perth.

Off the beaten track at Drimmie Wood

I quite often take the faithful hound for a walk up to Drimmie Wood and have blogged about it before, but today I walked down to three little lochans in the valley which you may easily miss if you were on the main pathway.  Great day for wildlife, red squirrels, heron, whooper swans, deer and buzzards were the tally for today and all this just outside of Blairgowrie.

Scenes around Blacklunans and Cray today

A few pictures from a wee drive in the countryside around here.  Up the road to Blacklunans, a walk above Drumore Loch and then driving along a back road to Cray and back onto the A93.

The pictures below are the old disused Church at Cray
