Earlier today I went along the road into the deep Perthshire countryside to Beaver HQ aka Bamff Estate and of course I just had to go for a wander around the beaver dams. (Bamff keeps captive beavers) The landscape over by the big pond has changed substantially since last time as tree felling has been going on. Also well camouflaged in the woods were quite a few army guys, the army uses the estate for manoeuvres.
On the way home on the Tullyfergus Road I stopped and took the dog for a walk on an alternative way into Drimmie Woods, not much happening on the wildlife front.
Recalling the highs and lows of running a Bed and Breakfast for 22 years and other stuff.

Old Farm Building
Wanderings with the dog yesterday took me around past whiteloch and back through Darroch Wood on another grand sunny day. Nice new 'planter' been built at the Welcome to Blairgowrie sign, dog took a swim and I admired some tufted ducks. Wee camera I am using at the moment unfortunately does not zoom in far, which is disappointing as not long until the Ospreys return, but there you go. Love the old farm building with the weir running beside it.

Glenshee - Again!
It has been a wonderful spell of weather, blue sky and not too cold, so on Tuesday I went and spent the day on the slopes. I was surprised how much snow was still around at Glenshee with every run complete and not icy at all, so I hope they keep the cover well into March. After my ski I went and had a look at the big machinery shed as I particularly admire the machines used to 'groom' the slopes. So using that classic chat up line 'I'm just admiring your machinery' I was offered a seat in one of them. Pretty cool inside and all computerised, think I'll apply for a job driving one.
