Today I had the privilege of getting up close to the phenomenally stunning winter visitor to our shores that is the waxwing, absolutely beautiful birds.  I spotted them in a hedge across the road that is laden with berries, so grabbed my camera and out the door furtively stalking them by the side of the road.  I saw some nearby a couple of weeks ago but didn't have my camera, but there has been quite a lot of sightings in Blairgowrie this year going by the local twitching hotline!  Apparently it has been a good year for waxwings so thrilled I finally got some photos of them.
