Loch of Clunie, Blairgowrie, Perthshire

As it was such a beautiful October day today I took the short trip, less than 10 minute drive, along to Clunie Loch.   We parked up at the roadside first for a few photos before continuing around to Clunie Church.

The remains of Clunie Castle can be seen on the small island (crannog), it was a tower house for the Bishops of Dunkeld.

It is easy to park down by the Church and worth having a look around at the ancient tombstones.

 Perfect place for a picnic.

Couldn't have asked for a better day to take photographs.
